3000 year old beehives.

Three thousand years! Can't even imagine how long or how old it is-right?

We all owe a great deal to past and present archaeologists for all the knowledge their discoveries gave us.

"Archaeologists digging in northern Israel have discovered evidence of a 3,000-year-old beekeeping industry, including remnants of ancient honeycombs, beeswax and what they believe are the oldest intact beehives ever found."-Yahoo news.

In one of my blogs, I wrote another interesting story about the secret of honey's long shelf life. For many, honey is still an enigma. It acts in both ways when consumed-benevolent as well malevolent. We should take it strictly as per elders' advice.

As per the Yahoo news, "The findings in the ruins of the city of Rehov this summer include 30 intact hives dating to around 900 B.C., archaeologist Amihai Mazar of Jerusalem's Hebrew University told The Associated Press. He said it offers unique evidence that an advanced honey industry existed in the Holy Land at the time of the Bible."

Thank you Yahoo and Amihai Mazar
