This blog post, may not be read by those who are not affected by the formation of scales in their plumbing due to hard water and those are staying in rented premises.
It is a routine problem faced by millions of homes across the world where the water used is hard. This water leaves behind scales in the pipes, faucets and washbasins.
These can be removed by passing through chemicals on the pipes but cannot be done on faucets.
Here is a tip I read in Day Tipper:
"Soak paper towels with white vinegar. Wrap around affected areas on faucet. Leave overnight. Remove paper towels and buff away remaining residue with an old toothbrush."
