But somehow I don't believe the popular concept (Wrong concept?). Every city has its own vagaries of weather; after all, who can predict the nature accurately.

Ok, it rains in London more than Madras. It so natural-right. For Madrasis, a rain is always a rare sight and they tend to compare the rainfall of their city and arrive at a wrong conclusion that the London is always wet.
Next, the issue of food. I admit hat I have never a Briton in my life but I respect their food preferences. I read somewhere that food in London was indeed bad till 10 years ago. I quote:
"And as for the local fare, it has come a long way since the days of ubiquitous bangers and mash." It is not so anymore.
Is it so?
