This is true folks! DNA India has reported this out of the world story.
A young was boy, when he was only 11 years old, threw a bottle containing some messages, threw the bottle in the sea off Orkney in northern Scotland. He just requested the finder of the bottle to return it to him. And he got it back after 23 years.
The bottle was unearthed by a group of volunteers cleaning up a beach at West Sands in St. Andrews - a town on the east coast of Fife council in Scotland. After finding the message, the team that included students and staff from the University of St. Andrews searched for the sender and finally tracked down Donald Wylie, now aged 33 and living in Orkney.

Wow thats great! It must have been suprising after that long! Its a shame no-one put a camcorder in it to record its journey. Its must have been through so much - and without breaking on the sea floor or rocks. Something similar happened the other day - some person 'borrowed' a Knome and travelled round the world with it taking all sorts of photos and returned it to its owner with a photo album of its adventure!
Thats great, its hard to believe that someone found his bottle after 23 years. Lucky man!!
