Let the tail go; I have the head!

The butterfly in the image here will say when its tail gets cut off by predating birds and insects, "Ok, eat my tail, I still have my head".

Strange but true. This is nature's work at its defensive best.

This butterfly has something at its tail that looks like butterfly head, with eye spot, fake antennas. Another added camouflage is the converging stripes that direct the attention to the false head. What sort of an evolution is this? What it is pointing to?

Oh Mother Nature, what are you up to? Ah, only we ask the question; not the butterfly that will say thanks to the nature!

Mother Nature's creations are complex and inimitable. Butterfly design is one such creation. Thought provoking article!
