Why you should walk bare foot on oak wood floor?

Surprisingly, most of the high-end houses in England are built with Solid Oak Flooring.

Why did I use the word ‘surprisingly’?

Don’t imagine I am going to answer your question straightway in one single sentence. You will have to read the entire blog where you will find several answers.

Before that, here is a trivia you might be interested:

Oak tree is the national tree of England and America apart from many other European countries that include France and Germany.

My sister lives in London. She took me on a virtual tool of her home when she recently visited me. I noticed her house is covered mostly solid oak flooring except the patio.

When I asked her how she maintains oak flooring as it is not suited for damp conditions of England where people are born with an umbrella (smile), she said she has engaged professional housekeepers.

After living in India for 25 years, she found it to easy to walk on oak wood floor with bare foot. In fact, it gives a lot of pleasure to walk bare footed on oak floor. Oak wood floor is susceptible to damage when walked on with shoes and sandals.

Before you read on, here is another trivia:

World’s best oak wood flooring manufacturers are in England.

Example: Esaystepflooring.co.uk.

Their installation service is the best in England among other solid oak flooring companies.

Most of the English homes demand a better resale value if they have oak flooring because it speaks one’s wealth and taste. Oak wood floors outlast rugs, carpets and vinyl floors.

However, do you think oak wood flooring is beautiful? I have my reservations. I am more inclined towards beauty than value. Oh yes, I have similar tastes like English people.
