Hydroponics is the technology that makes it possible to grow terrestrial plants such as onion and radish without soil! These plants are grown only in water that is sufficiently infused with essential nutrients for the plants to absorb and grow.
How hydroponics works:
Plants imbibe nutrients for its growth from the soil in which the necessary minerals are available. These water soluble minerals are then absorbed by the roots of the plants. Through Hydroponics, the essential minerals are made available in the water itself.
Hydroponics is also called as "Solution Culture".
