Dressing up pets during festivals is a nice attitude. In India, bulls and cows used to be decorated during a particular festival that is exclusively meant for bovines. Their horns will be painted in bright colors and garlands made of various materials including the pith are hung around their head.
Look at this cat! It is decorated with Christmas dress but that didn't amuse the cat or so it seems from the look on it's face.
May be it could have been made happy with a piece of meat shown in front of the camera? Or a dangling thread would have made the cat look active!
But a nice shot really.
