Man made monster that is eating the globe.

If you are given an opportunity to describe through a single picture to show the world how our consumerist attitude is piling up waste on the planet Earth that may soon destroy the chlorophyll, .... oh, forget it!

You and I are only concerned about the green issues but don’t really contribute anything substantial except dumping more to garbage mountains.

Just see this picture here again and you will understand and act too to contribute towards maintaining the green earth.

This trash sculpture is the art of a group of environmentalists in Slovenia. This scary monster with tentacles that reach out to envelop the world is placed in the town of Ljubljana.

What a waste!

Put a stop to tree torture.

My husband is an ardent tree lover. He hates the so called 'garden art' where bushes and trees were cut severely to make a meaningful shape out of them.

People prune trees and plants believing that this will enhance their growth. This is a cruel thought as per my husband. Men, in order to satisfy their seemingly artistic skills, interfere in the natural growth of plants by being barbaric. Men treat plants and trees as if they have no life on their own and can be subjected to the whims and fancies of this artificial world.

My husband will never buy a bonzai tree; says it is brutally twisted and made to appear old artificially.

There is this Chinese bonzai artist named Shen Shaomin who was recently featured in several internet magazines. It is reported that Shen used to put a live plant into cage-like metal structures to restrict its growth. In this process, Shen employed a collection of antique-looking metal tools used to distort the plants.

This tree torture is now hotly reported and debated in the Internet.

The Red Rain phenomenon.

Rain that stained clothes in red color. See the rain water collected in buckets. This is for real folks. For nearly two months, red rain poured in Kerala, in the year 2001.

It all started on July 25th and lasted still September 23rd. The rain water was colored in red. And this is not the first time. It happened before in the year 1896.

When people were disturbed and wanted to know if there is anything mysterious about blood colored rain water, two people suggested that coloured particles were of extraterrestrial cells!

The Indian Government officials pointed to an alga for the red color.

More interesting pieces of information can be read in Wikipedia.
