Bug derived red dye used to color Starbucks Strawberries.

Remembering my preference for colored milkshakes and ice creams, my U.S. based sister asked me if I would like to taste Starbucks Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino.

 I said no! She was surprised at my rejection.

I told her though I like pink, the color is not derived from real strawberries but from a Central American bug!

She was shocked at this amazing fact.

I said I read in an article that explained that Starbucks admitted its use of cochineal extract in its Strawberries and Crème Frappuccino, Strawberry Smoothies but are going to withdraw using the buggy red dye.

It is truly amazing-right?
